Procedural Expertise

Our team has years of swine-specific procedural experience and training, including: anesthesia, blood collection, IV infusions, and a variety of surgical procedures. We offer collaboration for future projects and service work on existing projects.

Veterinary Care

Animals are cared for under the highest standards of veterinary medicine, and with the oversight of UW-Madison's AAALAC accredited animal care program. Animal welfare is a top-priority during all projects.

Facilities

UW-Madison has four facilities designed for swine research, with capabilities including:
- Specific pathogen-free (SPF) shower-in breeding facility
- Biosafety Level 2 (BSL-2) research
- Quarantine/Isolation space
